I ran a wayang- (puppet-) making workshop with the help of Rhys Mottley at ASYIK Festival For Kids, an Indonesian arts and culture festival.

Some kids made their very own wayang kertas and others coloured-in elephants, tigers, orangutans and buffalo designs I’d made. Here are some of the characters the kids produced:

My mother took inspiration from the rare East-Javanese Purple-Faced Buffalo to produce her wayang
